Okul Yöneticilerinin Örgütsel Sessizliğe Etkisini Araştıran 2016-2022 Yılları Arasındaki Lisans Üstü Tezlerin İncelemesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırma, okullarda okul yöneticilerinin örgütsel sessizliğe etkisini ele alan tezlerin doküman incelemesini amaçlamaktadır. Örgütsel sessizlik, örgütlerde ilerlemenin yavaşlamasına neden olan ve beraberinde pek çok sorunun ortaya çıkmasına sebep olan bir iletişim sorunudur. Okullarda örgütsel sessizliğin kaynakları arasında okul yöneticilerinin ne kadar etkisi olduğu önemli bir konudur. Örgütsel sessizlikle ilgili yapılan çalışmaların zenginliği de sorunun tam olarak ortaya konması ve en etkili çözüm yolunun geliştirilmesine ışık tutmaktadır. Bu amaçla Türkiye’de yapılan lisans üstü tezlerin bulunduğu bir veri tabanı olan Ulusal Tez Merkezi, 2016-2022 yılları arası ile sınırlandırılarak, “okul müdürü”, “okul yöneticisi”, “örgütsel sessizlik” anahtar kelimeleriyle taranmıştır. Yapılan tarama sonucunda son 5 yılda okullarda okul müdürleri ve örgütsel sessizlikle ilgili olarak yapılan 22 tez belirlenmiştir. Bu tezlerden yalnızca biri doktora tezi diğerleri ise yüksek lisans tezidir. Tezlerin yürütüldüğü şehirler incelendiğinde on üç farklı şehre dağılım gösterdiği, ancak araştırmaların en fazla İstanbul’da ardından Siirt’te yapıldığı görülmüştür. Enstitü türlerine bakıldığında ise bu konuda sosyal bilimler enstitülerinde daha fazla inceleme yapıldığı söylenebilir. Analizler sonucunda bu tezlerin tamamının nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama yöntemiyle tasarlandığı ve örgütsel sessizlik ile liderlik stilleri arasındaki ilişkinin en fazla araştırıldığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca yapılan çalışmaların örneklemleri incelendiğinde tamamına yakınında öğretmen görüşleri alındığı, müdürlerin görüşlerinin alınmadığı belirlenmiştir.

Review of the Bachelor's Thesis Between 2016-2022 Studying the Impact of School Managers on Organizational Silence

This research aims to document the effects of school managers on organizational silence in schools. Organizational silence is a communication problem that causes progress in organizations to slow down and causes many problems to arise. It is an important issue of how important the influence of school managers among the sources of organizational silence. The wealth of work on organizational silence also highlights the complete discovery of the problem and the development of the most effective solution. For this purpose, the National Thesis Center, a database with licensed theses in Turkey, was scaned by the keywords "school manager", "school manager", "organic silence" and limited to the years 2016-2022. The scan results have identified 22 theses on school directors and organizational silence in the last 5 years. Only one of these theses is a doctoral thesis and the other is a master's thesis. When the cities where the theses were conducted were studied, they showed distribution to thirteen different cities, but the most of the research was done in Istanbul after Siirt. When it comes to the kinds of institutions, it can be said that more research has been done in the institutions of social sciences. The analysis found that all of these theses were designed from quantitative research methods through the relative scan method, and the relationship between organizational silence and leadership styles was most researched. Also, when the examples of the works were examined, it was determined that the teachers' opinions were taken close to the whole, and the directors' opinions were not taken.

This research aims to analyze the documents of the theses that deal with the effect of school administrators on organizational silence in schools. Organizational silence is a communication problem that causes the progress to slow down in organizations and causes many problems to emerge. It is an important issue how much influence school administrators have among the sources of organizational silence in schools. The richness of the studies on organizational silence also sheds light on the full disclosure of the problem and the development of the most effective solution. For this purpose, the National Thesis Center, which is a database of postgraduate theses made in Turkey, was limited to the years 2016-2022 and scanned with the keywords "school principal", "school administrator", "organizational silence". As a result of the scanning, 22 theses about school principals and organizational silence in the last 5 years were determined. Only one of these theses is a doctoral thesis and the others are a master's thesis. When the cities where the theses were conducted were examined, it was seen that they were distributed to thirteen different cities, but the most of the studies were conducted in Istanbul, followed by Siirt. When we look at the types of institutes, it can be said that more studies have been made in social sciences institutes on this subject. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that all of these theses were designed with the relational survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, and the relationship between organizational silence and leadership styles was investigated the most. In addition, when the samples of the studies were examined, it was determined that almost all of the teachers' opinions were taken and the opinions of the principals were not taken.
