Bosna-Hersek coğrafyası, tıpkı Kafkaslar gibi çeşitli milletlerin iç içe yaşadığı bir bölgedir. Coğrafî konumu itibariyle Avrupa’nın güneydoğusunda bulunan bölge, Osmanlı Devleti’nin idaresi altına girdikten sonra devleti temsil etmek ve devlet kurumlarının tesisini daha sonra da işlerliğini sağlamak üzere bölgeye gelen kadı, kâtip, asker gibi görevliler vasıtasıyla Türk dili ile tanışmıştır. Bu sayede, yerli halkın dili ile Türkçe arasında bir etkileşim meydana gelmiştir. Eğitim kurumlarında ve kamuya ait yerlerde Türkçe konuşulması, bu mekânlarla iletişim halinde olan yerli halkın kullandığı dilin şekillenmesini sağlamıştır. Uzunca bir süre devam eden Osmanlı yönetiminde bölge insanı, Türk-İslam medeniyetine katkı sağlayacak birçok devlet adamı, âlim, şair, yazar yetiştirmiş, Türkçe eserler yazmıştır. Türkçe eser yazan Bosnalılardan birisi de çalışmamıza konu olan şiirlerin sahibi Molla Mustafa Başeski’dir. Kendisi, 18. yüzyılda Saraybosna’da yaşamıştır. Elli yıla yakın bir süre Saraybosna’da ve hatta Bosna bölgesinde şahit olduğu olayları ayrıntılı bir şekilde günlüğüne kaydeden Molla Mustafa Başeski yedi tane de şiir kaleme almıştır. Söz konusu şiirler, Molla Mustafa Başeski’nin tek eseri olan ve Saraybosna Gazi Hüsrev Bey Kütüphanesi numara 7340’ta Mecmû’a ismiyle kayıtlı bulunan yazmada yer almaktadır. İki bölümden oluşan bu makalenin ilk kısmında Molla Mustafa Başeski’nin hayatı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise Başeski’nin şiirlerinin transkripsiyonu yapılmış, aruz kalıpları belirlenmiş bir şekilde ilim âleminin istifadesine sunulmuştur. Böylece, Molla Mustafa Başeski hakkında yapılmış veya yapılacak çalışmalara bir katkı sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
The geography of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a region where people from various nations live together, just like the Caucasus. Located in the southeast of Europe, the region was introduced to Turkish language through officials such as Muslim judges, clerks, and soldiers who came here to represent the state and to carry out the functions of state institutions after the region had come under the administration of the Ottoman Empire. In this way, an interaction occurred between Turkish and the language of the local people. The use of Turkish language in educational institutions and public places shaped the language used by the local people who are in contact with these places. During the reign of the Ottoman Empire, which lasted for a long time, the people of the region trained many statesmen, scholars, poets, writers who would contribute to the Turkish-Islamic civilization, and they wrote various works in Turkish. One of the Bosnians who wrote works in Turkish was Molla Mustafa Başeski, the owner of the poems that are the subject of the current study. He lived in Sarajevo in the 18th century. Keeping a detailed diary of the events he witnessed in Sarajevo and even in the Bosnian region for nearly fifty years, Molla Mustafa Başeski wrote seven poems. These poems are included in the manuscript entitled “Mecmû’a”, which is the only work of Molla Mustafa Başeski and registered in Sarajevo Gazi Hüsrev Bey Library with number 7340. The first part of this study gives information about the life of Molla Mustafa Başeski. In the second part, Başeski's poems have been transcribed and their prosody patterns have been determined and presented to the relevant literature. Thus, the study aims at making contribution to the further studies that will be conducted about the works of Molla Mustafa Başeski.
