Araştırmanın amacı öğretmen ve yöneticilerin deneyimleri doğrultusunda özellikle pandemi döneminde giderek artan uzaktan eğitim faaliyetlerinin okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerine olan etkilerini incelemektir. Bu çalışma nitel bir çalışma olup fenomenoloji (olgu bilim) deseninde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu devlet okullarında görev yapan 23 öğretmen ve 7 okul yöneticisi oluşturmuştur. Katılımcıların belirlenmesinde ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanan veriler betimsel analiz ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre eğitimciler başta bilgisayar destekli tasarım ve programlama, afet eğitimi ve müze eğitimi olmak üzere çeşitli alanlarda uzaktan eğitim programlarına katılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre uzaktan eğitimin zaman kayıplarını engellemesi, istenilen zamanda ve kolay şekilde eğitime erişilebilmesi ve konforlu bir eğitim ortamı sağlaması açısından avantajları bulunmaktadır. Asosyalleşme, etkileşim ve iletişimi azaltması dezavantajlarına rağmen uzaktan eğitimin eğitimciler tarafından tercih edilmektedir. Eğitimciler uzakta eğitim yoluyla entelektüel, genel ve özel alan yeterlikleri ve teknoloji kullanımı yeterliği alanlarında mesleki gelişimlerini sağlamaktadır.
The aim of the research is to reveal the effects of distance education activities, which have increased gradually during the pandemic period, on the professional development of teachers, in line with the experiences of teachers and administrators working in official education institutions. This study is a qualitative study in descriptive survey model and designed in phenomenology (phenomenology) pattern. The study group of the research consists of 23 teachers and 7 school administrators working in public schools. Criterion sampling method was used to determine the participants. Findings were obtained by summarizing data, coding, frequency and percentage analysis. According to the research findings, educators have participated in distance education programs in various fields, especially computer aided design and programming, disaster education and museum education. Distance education has advantages such as preventing time loss, providing easy access to education at any time and providing a comfortable education environment. They prefer it to the disadvantage of reducing socialization, interaction and communication. They provide the professional development of the participants in the intellectual field, general and special field competencies and technology use competencies through distance education.
