So many results that aren't mine?

Determinatıon of The Surgical Patients’ Saticfaction Levels from Nursing Care

Abstract:

Aim: This study was carried out to evaluate satisfaction levels of patients from nursing care. Method: This study, which was a descriptive type, was conducted from 15 August to 15 September 2012. The sample was consisted of 106 patients who hospitalized for minimum two day in surgical clinics of one hospital in Konya. The data was obtained through a questionnaire form and Newcastle Satisfaction Scale from Nursing Care. Results: At the end of research it was found that 41.5% of the patients’ ages were between 40-59 years, 51.9% of the patients were male, 39.6% of the patients’ educations were primary education degree and 81.1% of the patients were married. It was found that the mean of total point of patients which gained from Satisfaction Scale from Nursing Care was 62.30±16.09 and their satisfaction was evaluated as moderate level. It was determined that highest satisfaction (3.67±0.88) was from “respects of the nurses on privacy” and the lowest satisfaction (3.05±1.04) was from “The level of knowledge they have about the nurses caring”. Conclusion: Finally, studies toward increase of patients’ levels of satisfaction from nursing care may be suggested. Key Words: Nursing care, quality of care, patients’ satisfaction.
