The aim of this study is to reveal whether the psychometric anxieties of middle school students on reading skills change in a statistically significant way according to the determined demographic variables. The universe of the study consists of 287 students in the 5th ,6th,7th and 8th grades studying at 17 secondary schools in Türkoğlu district of Kahramanmaraş province in the 2019-2020 academic year. The research was conducted by employingdescriptive survey model, which is one of the quantitative research designs. The data of the study were collected using the scale "Personal Information Form" and "Determination of Psychometric Properties of Reading Anxiety Scale". SPSS 21 package program was used in the statistical analysis of the data obtained. At the end of the analysis, the level of anxiety created by middle school students towards reading skills was foundto be at a moderate degree. Drawn on this A significant difference was obtained in the variable of "parents’education status". Drawn on this significant difference, it has been concluded that as the education level increases, the anxiety towards reading skills decreases. In addition, itwas determined that there was no significant difference in gender and education level variables
