During the crisis, the trouble in macroeconomic indicators has negatively affected the global investor perception in developing countries such as Turkey, which has led to the rise of the CDS premiums and the worsening of the already trouble indicators. It is also believed that the currency's playability depends on the level of risk in the economy. Therefore, this increase in the risk factor causes a gameplay in the currencies, causing the loss of value of the national currency. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the credit rate exchange and the exchange rate with the help of time series. For this purpose, the Toda-Yamamoto causality test was conducted using daily data between 01.01.2018 and 30.11.2019. The analysis found a bilateral causal relationship between the CDS and the dollar currency.
