Abstract:

In this study, the relationship between self-regulating skills and behavioral problems in pre-school children was studied. The study’s work group continues to two different pre-school education institutions connected with the Ministry of National Education, located in Antalya, in the spring period of the 2018-2019 educational and educational year; the 4-6-year group consisted of 66 girls and 84 men of a total of 150 children. In the study, the Teacher Information Form was applied to teachers in order to obtain various demographic information and the Parent Information Form was also applied to parents. The teachers involved in the study were also applied to assess the self-regulating skills of the children involved in the study with the aim of assessing the self-regulating skills of the children of 4-6 years old (Teacher Form) and to assess the behavioral problems of the children with the aim of assessing the Pre-School Behavioral Problems. The study found that the self-regulating skills scale and the pre-school behavior problems scanning scale have a statistically advanced meaningful and negative relationship between all sub-dimensions and total points (p<0.01). According to the findings in the study, various recommendations were given to parents, educators, specialists working on the subject.
