Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to do the work of adaptation of the Self-Oriented Intelligence Perception Scale to Turkey. The research study group consists of a total of 682 persons from graduate and postgraduate students studying at Afyon Kocatepe University and Ankara University in the 2018-2019 educational year and adults not in student status. The age of the participants is 18 to 69 (Ort. It is between 23.60, ss = 6.85. The research was conducted in the first place on the language validity of the scale. After the translation and language validity studies, structural validity and reliability analyses were carried out. The study found that the five-factor structure of the Self-directed Intelligence Perception Scale was confirmed. In analyses aimed at determining the reliability of the scale, the internal consistency ratio for the entire scale was .896, the two-half reliability was .870, the test-up test reliability was .906, and there was a significant difference between the 27% sub-top groups. As a result, it can be stated that the self-oriented intelligence perception measurement is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used in Turkish to measure the intelligence perceptions of individuals about themselves.
