Ahşap tavanlı cami yapma geleneğinin kökeni, Orta Asya Türk mimarisine dayanmaktadır. Bu camiler, Orta Anadolu çevresinde yoğun olarak yapılmış olmakla birlikte Anadolu’nun birçok yerinde görülmektedir. Ahşap tavanlı cami geleneği, Anadolu’da XIII. yüzyıl başlarında başlayıp, XX. yüzyıla başlarına kadar devam etmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Bozkır ilçesine bağlı köylerde inşa edilmiş olan ahşap ahşap tavanlı camilerin bir grubu incelenmiş ve genel bir değerlendirmeyle Türk mimarisindeki konumları ortaya konmuştur. Bu camiler plan olarak Anadolu Selçuklu cami geleneğini devam ettirmektedir. Camilerin mihrap, minber, mahfil ve vaaz kürsüsü gibi yapı elemanlarında ahşap süsleme tekniklerinin inceliği dikkat çekmektedir. Ahşap süslemeler arasında bitkisel, geometrik ve stilize motifler bulunmaktadır. S ve C kıvrımlı süslemelerin yoğunluğu göze çarpmaktadır. Kalemişi süslemeler arasında ise cami, Kâbe gibi yapı tasvirleri ile servi ağaçları, çok kollu yıldızlar ve vazolu-vazosuz bitkiler gibi süslemeler vardır. Mihrap ve cephelerde de yazı süslemeleri az da olsa dikkat çekmektedir. Yapılar ahşap ve duvar süslemeleriyle Geç dönem Osmanlı özellikleri görülmektedir.

The origin of the tradition of building a wooden roof mosque is based on the Turkish architecture of Central Asia. These mosques are intensely built around Central Anatolia, but are seen in many places of Anatolia. The tradition of the wooden roof mosque, XIII in Anadolu. It began in the early 20th century and in the 20th century. It continued until the beginning of the century. In this study, a group of wooden roofed mosques that were built in the villages connected to the Bozkır district have been studied and a general assessment has revealed their positions in Turkish architecture. These mosques continue the tradition of the Anadolu Selçuklu mosque as a plan. The delicacy of wood decoration techniques in the building elements of the mosques, such as mosquitoes, minber, mahfil and preaching courts attract attention. Wood decorations include plant, geometric and stylish motifs. The intensity of S and C curved decorations is visible.
