Abstract:

This study has studied the impact of students’ learning styles on academic success in e-learning environments. In the study, "Is e-learning styles, participation in online courses, video recording, the variables, the prominent of academic success?" Reply to the question was asked. The research measurement and evaluation course is carried out through the teaching management system for 14 weeks with online courses. Students are given a certificate of pedagogical formation training at the end of this course. The study applied the E-learning Styles Scale and Success Test developed by Gülbahar and Alper (2014) to 501 students who received pedagogical formation through distance learning in the 2016-2017 academic year. By applied to the determined Success Test work group, which was developed by researchers, tested in another group similar to the research group and provided reliable and valid results, the scores obtained from this test were considered the measure of academic success. Multiple regression analysis has been used in the analysis of data. According to the research results, participation in online courses, video recording, active learning style and independent learning style process academic success in the e-learning environment. These four variables describe 7% of the total variation in academic success.
