Necip Fazıl, 1948 yılında Büyük Doğu dergisinde, “Çöle İnen Nur” başlıklı haftalık olarak tefrika edilen bir yazı serisine başlar (1948-1950). Bu yazılarda o, eski bir geleneği, “siyer” geleneğini canlandırır.
