Abstract:

From the past to present, the exegetists have written many tafsir works. In the modern era, one of those who wrote a tafsir book is Omar Nasuhi Bilmen. Omar Nasuhi Bilmen has written works not only in the tafsir but also in many fields and shared his scientific knowledge through these works. However, he has a privileged position in the Quranic sciences and tafsir. He examined many issues in his tafsir. However, he also interpreted the verses based on his personal views as well as the narrations. One of the subjects that Omar Nasuhi Bilmen examined in detail is revelation. The revelation is a form of communication between God and human and even between God and other living creatures. Allah declares his commands and prohibitions to living creatures through revelation. Omar Nasuhi Bilmen, who studied this subject to a great extent, extensively discussed the phenomenon of revelation in the interpreting of the verses. In this context, he explained the definition of revelation, the nature of revelation, and the form of transmission of revelation. Besides, he mentioned the relationship between revelation-miracle and revelation-ghayb. He also considered revelation as evidence of the existence and power of Allah. In our study, we will examine Omar Nasuhi Bilmen's understanding of revelation in the context of the relevant verses.
