Sanat, tarih boyunca bir anlatım içinde bulunmuştur. Bunun için çeşitli malzemelere ve anlatımı güçlendirmek için kavramlara ihtiyaç duyulmuştur. Birçok konu tarih boyunca farklı disiplinlerde işlenmiş ve bir anlatım dili oluşturmuştur. Yığın kavramı da özellikle plastik sanatlar alanında bir sanat konusu halinde işlenmiştir. Resim sanatında işlenişinin yanında seramik ve cam gibi disiplinlerde de anlatım aracı olmuştur. Bu makalede yığın kavramının yapay ve doğal olarak farklılıklarının üzerinde durularak cam malzeme özelinde değerlendirilmesi üzerinde durulmaktadır. Camın bir malzeme olarak birçok akımda kullanımı, yığın kavramında da etkin olmuştur. Yığın kavramının sanatla ilgili olmasının temel nedeni hayatın içinde çokça yer almasıdır. Yaşadığımız alanlar, oluşturduğumuz- biriktirdiğimiz eşyalar bu kavramı sosyal olarak hayatımıza, dolayısıyla sanatta işlenen bir konu haline getirmiştir. Çalışmada üretim ve tüketim arasındaki ilişki ile ortaya çıkan olumlu veya olumsuz olarak değerlendirilebilecek durumlarda yığın kavramının nasıl ortaya çıkabildiği gibi konulara değinilmiştir. Tarih öncesi zamandan başlayarak, çağdaş sanata uzanan sanat üretimi içinde camın sanatsal ve endüstriyel gelişimi de ele alınmış, bu dönemlere ait bilgilerin olduğu kaynaklardan faydalanılmıştır. Yığın kavramı üzerinde geçmişten bu yana çalışan bazı sanatçıların çalışmaları konu üzerinden değerlendirilerek cam sanatı ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Böylelikle yığın kavramının disiplinlerarası sanat alanlarında ne şekilde işlendiği ve bu işlenişin kronolojik olarak gösterdiği gelişim ele alınarak, literatüre katkı sağlaması amaçlanmıştır.

Many subjects have been processed in different disciplines throughout history and have created a narrative language. The concept of collection has also been processed in an art topic especially in the field of plastic arts. In addition to his work in painting, he has also been a narrative tool in disciplines such as ceramics and glass. This article focuses on the assessment of the concept of mass on the artificial and natural differences of the glass material in particular. The use of the window as a material in many flows, has also been effective in the concept of mass. The main reason that the concept of crowd is related to art is that it has a lot of place in life. The areas we live, the things we create, the things we store, have made this concept a subject of our social life, therefore, processed in art. The study addressed the issues such as how the concept of quantity may arise in situations that can be evaluated positively or negatively as the relationship between production and consumption arises. Starting from the prehistoric time, the art production that extends to contemporary art has also addressed the artistic and industrial development of the glass, and the sources of information from these periods have been exploited. The work of some artists who have worked on the concept of the crowd since the past has been evaluated on the subject and linked to the glass art. Thus, the aim is to contribute to literature by addressing how the concept of mass is processed in the interdisciplinary fields of art and the development that this process chronologically demonstrates.

The use of glass as a material in many currents has also been effective in the concept of stack. The main reason why the concept of mass is related to art is that it takes place a lot in life. The spaces we live in, the things we create and collect have made this concept a subject that is processed socially in our lives and therefore in art. In the study, issues such as how the concept of mass can emerge in situations that can be evaluated as positive or negative, which arise with the relationship between production and consumption, are mentioned. The artistic and industrial development of glass is also discussed in the production of art starting from prehistoric times to contemporary art, and sources of information about these periods are used. The works of some artists who have been working on the concept of stack since the past have been evaluated over the subject and associated with the art of glass. Thus, it is aimed to contribute to the literature by considering how the concept of stack is processed in interdisciplinary art fields and the chronological development of this processing.
