Death is an inevitable and complex part of human life. When people face death, they can question the meaning of life and death. The aim of palliative care is to reduce the pain and suffering of end-of-life patients, control their symptoms and ensure their peaceful death. The role of spirituality in palliative care is the importance of addressing life and death in a holistic perspective. The results of the research show that the psychological needs of the patients who need palliative care are quite wide, they cover many aspects of their lives and are not limited to religion. In palliative care, individuals are usually focused on physical symptoms, but the problems experienced by the patient may also arise from psycho-social and spiritual. Nurses can help the patients to spend their last period in peace with the spiritual care they will apply in palliative care units.
