Abstract:

One of the foundations of sustainable development in countries is without a doubt to this growth by producing, by producing technology, consuming raw materials and consuming more energy. The aim of this study in Turkey is to explore the relationship between electricity consumption, natural resource rent, carbon emissions, energy imports and financial development and economic growth. The period of work is 1970-2015. The study data was collected from the World Bank’s official website. The ARDL limit test approach was used as a method in the study. The results of the study have found that in the long term, whether financial development is needed, there is an integration relationship between independent variables and economic growth. In the short period, also, significant results have been found that the deviations occurring in dependent variables have been corrected in the next period and returned to the long-term balance.
