Belgrad Kalesi’ne gelen ecnebilere her şeyden mukaddem “Kara Mustafa Paşa” türbesi ve “Romalılar Pınarı” diye bir türbe ile 214 basamak derin kargir çifte tertibatlı bir su kuyusu gösteriliyordu. Halbuki ne türbe merhum Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Paşa’nın türbesidir, ne de su kuyusu Romalılar’dan kalma 2000 senelik bir pınardır. Türbe zîrde beyan edilecek ki Damat Ali Paşa Türbesi olup pınar ise Avusturyalılar tarafından kazılmış olduğu tarihân sabittir.
