Abstract:

Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the burnout levels and job satisfaction of nurses during the pandemic process. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the data were collected between 2021-2022 by Gaziantep Dr. It was collected through face-to-face questionnaires from nurses working at Ersin Arslan Training and Research Hospital. The population of the study consisted of 637 nurses, and it was tried to reach the entire universe, and a sample of 559 nurses who agreed to participate in the research was formed. The data were obtained by using the personal information form consisting of questions containing the sociodemographic characteristics and occupational characteristics of the nurses created by the researchers, the nurses' job burnout levels during the pandemic process and the Nurse Job Satisfaction Scale and Maslach Burnout Scale (87.75%) in order to evaluate the effect of the pandemic on job satisfaction. The obtained data were evaluated in computer environment, standard deviation, mean, percentage, Independent t test, ANOVA and correlation analysis were performed. Results: Having worked during the Covid-19 pandemic nurses who feel a sense of mental exhaustion Statistically significant in terms of Nurse Job Satisfaction Scale no difference (p>0.05); whereas Maslach Burnout It was determined that there was a significant difference in terms of scale (p<0.05). Conclusion: In this study, it was determined that there was a negative and moderate relationship between the level of burnout and job satisfaction among nurses in the Covid-19 pandemic, and a negative and significant relationship that decreased as the burnout increased.
