Abstract:

The Russian-Turkish relations have been on a long basis. Depending on the geostrategic position of Turkey, the historical demands of Russia to descend to the hot seas have been decisive in this relationship. With regard to the time passed from the Ottoman State to the Republic of Turkey, it seems that the political, military and economic relations between Turkey and Russia have a three hundred-year history. The results of the Bolshevik Conflict in 1917 in Tsarsky Russia were an important turning point in the beginning and continuation of the relations between the two countries before and after the National Struggle. This process continued with the beginning of the national liberation struggle against the imperial powers. With the establishment of the new Turkish state, Russia accepted the Misak-i-Milli, the relations between the two countries developed on the basis of friendship. In this study, we will also refer to how the Turkish-Russian relations began in the years of the National Struggle and subsequently, and under what conditions they developed from a historical perspective.
