Abstract:

The article discusses the lessons of singing within the Russian Empire educational system. He draws attention to the historical and educational importance of musical and coral work in schools, the methodological challenges in teaching. The material was used in pre-revolution, Soviet and modern scientific literature. Research methods; neutrality, historicity, systematic, complex assessment of social subjectivity in the subject of study, the researchers have been considered as the maximum neutrality possible against the interpretation and evaluation of the original material. The use of these methods has enabled writers to evaluate the system of singing lessons in educational institutions in the past and historically. As a result, the authors noted that singing in the Russian Empire was of great importance. Traditions and the teaching of songs have risen to the ancient history of Russia and have played an important role in the spiritual life of society. In the mid-19th century, singing was taught in primary schools in Russia, but slowed the development of students due to the complex teaching system. In the 1870s, the teaching methodology based on the analytical-artificial method was modified, which resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of teaching.
