Abstract:

The new type of coronavirus epidemic that began in December 2019 in the People's Republic of China in March 2020 has affected a large number of children's patients, turning into a pandemic. 2% of cases in the People's Republic of China were children. Head pain, throat pain, muscle pain, loss of smell and taste, and symptoms such as diarrhoea are also seen, while the most common signs of infection are fever, cough and dyspnea. The disease can be seen from an asymptomatic phenomenon in a wide range of severe respiratory failure accompanied by pneumonia and which can result in death. The incidence of critical patients in children was at 11%. The World Health Organization has that critical patients with COVID-19 are more likely to see myocarditis, Kawasaki syndrome, or multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) in children. In this article, on March 30, 2020, the application with respiratory failure, diagnosed with severe COVID-19 pneumonia and myocarditis, and the four-month milk child, which was treated with the recommended algorithm under the guidance of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, was presented.
