Abstract:

The intellectual relationship constitutes one of the most notable and controversial dimensions of the word method. According to the Maturidians, the knowledge obtained through the institute of Nubevet is corresponding to the field of the possibilities that remain outside the field of vâcip (obligatory) and mûmteni (impossible), which is therefore necessary for another source of knowledge other than the mind. But this assessment made in terms of the subject and scope of the messenger does not mean that the Maturidian thought, in terms of the necessity of the messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and the nubevity, as in the Eshariya, is addressed in the framework of the intellectual possibility (unnecessary). In this point, surprisingly, the Maturidians who approach the Mu'tezilic teaching accept the view that the Nubuvet's value is obligatory (vâcip).
