Bu çalışmanın amacı kavramsal değişim yaklaşımına dayalı ısı sıcaklık konusu öğretiminin beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin kavramsal anlamalarına etkisi incelemektir. Bu çalışma kavramsal değişim yaklaşımının 5E öğrenme modeline dayalı olarak ısı sıcaklık konusu için uygulamasını içermektedir. Çalışma Balıkesir ili Altıeylül ilçesinde bulunan orta düzeyde bir ortaokulun 5. sınıflarından birinde öğrenim gören 23 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada ısı sıcaklık kavramlarının günlük hayatta kullanımı ile ilgili hazırlanan ısı sıcaklık metni ve ısı sıcaklık konusu ile ilgili yanlış kavramları tespit etmek için kavramsal anlama testi kullanılmıştır. Isı sıcaklık metni ve kavramsal anlama testi öğretim öncesinde ön test ve sonrasında son test olarak öğrencilere uygulanmış ve testlerden alınan puanlar SPSS 20.0 paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin ısı sıcaklık metni ve kavramsal anlama testi ön test ve son test puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunduğu görülmüştür.
The aim of this study is to study the impact of the thermal temperature subject teaching on the conceptual understanding of the fifth class students based on the conceptual change approach. This study includes the application of the conceptual change approach to the thermal temperature subject based on the 5E learning model. The study was conducted with 23 students who studied in one of the 5th classes of a middle-level high school located in the sixth-september district of Fiskesir. The study used a conceptual understanding test to identify the prepared heat temperature text and the wrong concepts related to the subject of heat temperature related to the use of heat temperature concepts in daily life. The heat temperature text and the conceptual understanding test were applied to students as a pre-test before teaching and then final test and the scores obtained from the tests were analyzed with the SPSS 20.0 package program. Students have found a significant difference between the thermal temperature text and the conceptual understanding test pre-test and the final test score.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of heat and temperature teaching based on the conceptual change approach on the conceptual understandings of the fifth grade students. This study involves the application of the conceptual change approach to the heat and temperature topic based on the 5E learning model. The study was carried out with 23 students studying in one of the fifth grade classes in a middle school located in the Altıeylül district of Balıkesir province. In the study, the conceptual understanding test, which was prepared to determine the misconceptions related to the heat temperature text and the heat and temperature text prepared for the daily use of heat temperature concepts, was used as data collection tools. Heat temperature text and conceptual understanding test were applied to the students as pre-test and post-test and the scores obtained from the tests were analyzed with the SPSS 20.0 package program. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference between both students' pre-test and post-test scores for heat and temperature text and conceptual understanding test.
