Abstract:

Target: In our country and in the world, the incidence of coronary arterial bypass greft (CABG) surgery is increasing parallel to the increase in young age group patients. In this retrospective study, we aimed at evaluating early-term results in cases of isolated CABG applied with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in our clinic aged 40 and under. The tool and method: April.2004-January 2012 with CPB and CABG operations under the age of 40 were included in the study of 106 patients. The demographic data of patients, perioperative and postoperative parameters were evaluated. Results: In the demographic data, 59.4 percent of cases were smoking, 30.2 percent diabetes mellitus, 25.5 percent obesity, and 66 percent hyperlipidemia. 5.7 percent of patients have left main coronary artery disease, 8 percent. In 5 there were two veins, in 37.7 and in 53.8 there were three vein diseases. When operating data were evaluated, the cross clamp time was 37 minutes, the CPB time was 66.8 minutes and the average greft number was 2.5 minutes. Mortality has not been observed. In seven cases, atrial fibrilation, 3 patients developed surface tissue infection in the leg that was taken with safen venous injection. Results: With this study, people aged 40 and six have been identified as a significant risk factor for smoking and diabetes mellitus.
