Comparison of the meaning and form of the words which from different historical periods of Turkish language reached to Modern Turkic languages has great importance for revealing the integrity of Turkic from past to present. It is possible to see the words used thousands of years before today in both modern Turkic languages and in different dialects of Turkic languages. In particular, some words that are rare even in the oldest texts and which are not very common in modern Turkic languages or that have changed in form and semantically are indications of the oldness and continuity of Turkic. Some words in the oldest Turkic manuscripts have been evaluated by various researchers. The vocabulary of historical monuments and vocabulary of modern Turkic languages have been the subject of some comparative studies. As a result of these studies, it is tried to clarify the origin of old words in modern Turkic languages. In this study, I will try to explain that the origin of the word elley, which has a very special place in modern Uyghhur, is based on the Old Turkic ele-. The verb ele-, first attested in the inscription of Dongoin Shiree dating from the VIII century and continued with examples of Uyghhur Buddhist works and reached to the present Uyghhur language.
