AMAÇ: Bu çalışmanın amacı iki farklı apeks bulucu cihazın farklı preparasyon çaplarındaki doğruluğunun karşılaştırılmasıdır. GEREÇ VE YÖNTEM: Bu çalışma için çekilmiş 14 adet insan alt keser dişi kullanıldı. Dişlerin kronları mine-sement birleşiminden kesilerek uzaklaştırıldı. Kök kanalı içerisinde 10 numaralı bir K-tipi eğe apikalden görülünceye kadar ilerletildi ve elde edilen boy bir kumpas yardımıyla ölçüldü. Gerçek çalışma boyu için bu ölçümden 0.5 mm çıkarıldı ve kaydedildi. Dişler periodonsiyumu taklit etmek amacıyla aljinat içerisine gömüldü. Propex II ve Root ZX mini elektronik apeks bulucu cihaz ile ilk ölçümler (preparasyon öncesi) yapıldı ve kaydedildi. Daha sonra dişler ProTaper döner eğe sistemi ile F1 çapına kadar genişletildi. Elektonik apeks bulucu cihazlar ile tekrar ölçüm yapıldı. Son olarak kök kanalları F3 çapına kadar genişletildi ve çalışma boyları cihazlar ile bir kez daha ölçüldü. Elde edilen bütün apeks bulucu cihaz verilerinin gerçek boylarla olan farkları hesaplandı. Gerçek boy ile preparasyon öncesi değerler ve sonrası değerler farkları hem elektronik apeks bulucu cihazlar için kendi içerinde ve hem de birbirleriyle t-testi kullanılarak istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı. BULGULAR: Preparasyon öncesi ve diğer iki preparasyon çaplarında, Propex II ve Root ZX Mini elektronik apeks bulucu cihazlar arasında ve kendi içlerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark görülmedi (p>0.01). SONUÇ: Propex II ve Root ZX mini elektronik apeks bulucu cihazların kök kanal tedavisi başlangıcında ve farklı preparasyon çaplarında birbirleri ile uyumlu sonuçlar verdiği görüldü.
The aim of this study is to compare the accuracy of two different apex detectors in different preparation diamonds. WORK AND METHOD: 14 pieces of humans undercut female used for this study. The tooth crowns were cut off from the mine-sement combination. A number 10 K-type curve in the root channel was advanced from the apical to the point of view, and the size obtained was measured with the help of a cumbs. 0.5 mm was removed and recorded from this measurement for the actual work length. The teeth were buried in the alginate in order to imitate periodoncy. The first measurements (pre-preparation) were made and recorded with the Propex II and Root ZX mini electronic apex detector. Then the teeth were extended to the F1 diameter with the ProTaper rotating curve system. Electronic apex detection devices were again measured. Finally, the root channels were extended to the diameter of F3 and the work lengths were measured again with the devices. The differences in all obtained apex search device data were calculated with real sizes. The differences between the real size and pre-preparation values and post-values were compared statistically both within and with each other using the t-test for electronic apex detector devices. NOTE: In the pre-preparation and other two preparation diamonds, there was no statistically meaningful difference between Propex II and Root ZX Mini electronic apex detector devices and within them (p>0.01). Results: Propex II and Root ZX mini electronic apex detector devices were found to give compatible results at the beginning of root channel treatment and in different preparation diameter.
