Bu çalışma çocuk sahibi hemşirelerin çocuk sevme düzeyleri ve çocuk yetiştirme tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikteki çalışma bir üniversite hastanesinde çalışan ve çocuk sahibi olan 65 hemşire ile yürütüldü. Veriler “Anket Formu’’, “Barnett Çocuk Sevme Ölçeği” ve “Aile Hayatı ve Çocuk Yetiştirme Tutum Ölçeği” ile toplandı. Hemşirelerin çocuk sayıları ile “Barnett Çocuk Sevme Ölçeği’’ puanları arasında pozitif, “Aile Hayatı ve Çocuk Yetiştirme Tutum Ölçeği”; “Demokratik Tutum ve Eşitlik Tanıma” ve “Sıkı Disiplin” alt boyut puanları arasında negatif korelasyon vardı (p<0,05). Lisans ve lisansüstü eğitime sahip olan hemşirelerin “Aşırı Koruyuculuk” puan ortalamaları, aile gelir düzeyi iyi olan hemşirelerin “Sıkı Disiplin” puanları daha yüksek bulundu. Çocuk servisinde çalışan hemşirelerin “Barnett Çocuk Sevme Ölçeği’’ ve “Aşırı koruyuculuk”, çocuk yetiştirme ve bakımı konusunda bilgi alan hemşirelerin “Aşırı Koruyuculuk” ve “Sıkı Disiplin” alt boyut puan ortalamaları yüksek bulundu. Çocuk servislerinde çalışan ve çocuk sayısı fazla olan hemşirelerin çocuk sevme düzeyleri daha iyi idi. Çocuk servislerinde çalışan, lisans ve üstü eğitime sahip ve çocuk yetiştirme konusunda bilgi alan hemşirelerin çocuk yetiştirme konusunda aşırı koruyucu oldukları; çocuk sayısı az ve geliri iyi düzeyde olan hemşirelerin çocuk yetiştirmede sıkı disiplin tutumlarının daha fazla olduğu bulundu. ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the level of nurses’ liking children and attitudes of child-raising. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 65 nurses who had children and working in a university hospital. Data was collected by “Survey”, “Barnett Liking Children Scale”, “Parental Attitude Research Instrument’’. It was found that a positive correlation between the number children of nurses and “Barnett Liking Children Scale” scores and a negative correlation among the number children of nurses and “Parental Attitude Research Instrument’’; “Democratic Attitudes and Equality” and “Strict Discipline’’ scores (p<0.05). Nurses who had degree and post degree education had high scores of “Overload Protection”, nurses who had good income level had high score of “Strict Discipline’’. It was found that nurses who worked in pediatric clinics had high score of “Barnett Liking Children Scale’’ and “Overload Protection”, nurses who took information about child-raising had high scores of “Overload Protection” and “Strict Discipline”. It was found that nurses who had graduate and postgraduate education, worked in pediatric clinics and took information about raising children showed more overload protection in raising child, nurses who had less children and had good income level showed more strict discipline attitude in raising child. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the levels of child-loving nurses and the attitudes of child-education. The study of identificative and cutting-edge qualifications was carried out with 65 nurses working in a university hospital and having children. The data was collected with the "Analytics Form", "Barnett Child Love Scale" and "Family Life and Child Education Attitude Scale". There was a negative correlation between the children's numbers of nurses and the "Barnett Child Love Scale" scores, the "Family Life and Childhood Attitude Scale"; the "Democratic Attitude and Equality Recognition" and the "Strict Discipline" sub-dimensional scores (p<0,05). Nurses with a bachelor and postgraduate degree’s “extreme protection” ratings were higher than nurses with a good family income level’s “strict discipline” ratings. The nurses working in the child service found high "Barnett Child Love Scale" and "Excess Protection", "Excess Protection" and "Strict Discipline" sub-dimensional ratings of nurses who were aware of child education and care. The nurses who worked in children’s services and who had a lot of children had a better level of child-loving. Nurses who work in children’s services, have a licensed and higher education and have knowledge of childbirth have been extremely protective in childbirth; nurses with a low number of children and a good income have more rigorous disciplinary attitudes in childbirth.
