Rome was one of the most powerful states that has widespread slavery and class distinctions of its time, passed to the Republican administration at the beginning of the 6th century. The passing of the Republic did not make a radical change in the social system and caused the formation of the political administration of the people. The widespread slavery between the riches let to slaves discover a possibility of an uprising against the system. Restrictive and dissuasive punishments of slave owners, slaves tend to rebellion has lost the deterrent effect of their own like Spartacus who has spent his life as a gladiator and faces death in every arena battle. This situation has caused "Spartacus Rebellion" that gives lessons to the period and the future and has an important slave revolt in history in BC 70's. During the period of the rebellion it was an inevitable opportunity to suppress this rebellion for the leaders such as Marcus Crassus and Gnaeus Pompei the generals of the Roman Republic that has in political conflict and they succeeded in defeating Spartacus and ensuring their position in the Republic. The purpose of this study is; In describing the slavery in the Roman Republic, the example of Spartacus was to reflect the experience of the time and to be at the forefront of the law and slavery in other empires. In the Roman Republic we studied by comparing the period with other empires (countries), we have not studied the concept of slavery, but have also dealt with its legal structure as it hammered out the social structure of Rome.
