YABANCILARA TÜRKÇE ÖĞRETİMİNDE SOSYAL MEDYA KULLANIMININ YAZMA BECERİSİNE ETKİSİNE YÖNELİK ÖĞRENİCİ GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract:

İnternet ve bilgisayar kullanımının artması ile insanların teknolojiden yararlanma alışkanlıkları da değişmiş, insanlar doğal çevresiyle etkileşim kurmak için sosyal medya araçlarına başvurur hâle gelmiştir. Günümüzde özellikle akıllı telefon kullanımında meydana gelen artış kullanıcıların bu platformlarda geçirdikleri sürelerin artmasına neden olmuş, insanlar sosyal medya araçlarını farklı amaçlarla kullanmaya başlamıştır. Eğitim almak veya yeni bir dil öğrenmek de bu amaçlar arasındadır. Araştırmalar, sosyal medya araçlarının eğitim-öğretim süreçlerinde kullanıldığında sürece olumlu yönde etki ettiğini göstermektedir (Ekoç, 2013; Gangwar, vd., 2013; Malerba, 2015; Tartari, 2015; Demirtaş, 2017; Derya, 2017; Elverici, 2017; Dursun, 2018). Bu nedenle araştırmada yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminde sosyal medya kullanımının öğrenicilerin yazma becerilerine etkisi üzerinde durulmuş ve bu konuda öğrenici görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma, durum çalışması olarak desenlenmiştir. Çalışmada veriler, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formuyla toplanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında 40 öğreniciye ulaşılmıştır. Öğrenici görüşlerinden hareketle sosyal medyanın öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırdığı, dil becerilerini geliştirdiği, öğretimi desteklediği, söz varlığını zenginleştirdiği, hızlı öğrenmeyi sağladığı, öğrenilenleri günlük hayata aktardığı, iletişim kanallarını artırdığı, kültürel ögeleri tanımada yardımcı olduğu, eğlenerek öğrenme imkânı sunduğu ve sosyalleşmeyi sağladığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle Türkçe öğretim süreçlerinde sosyal medyadan yararlanırken dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlara yönelik değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur.

The influence of the use of social media in the teaching of foreigners in Turkish

Abstract:

With the increase in internet and computer use, people’s habits of using technology have also changed, and people have come to use social media tools to interact with their natural environment. Nowadays, the more the use of smartphones increases, the more time the users spend on these platforms, and people have started to use social media tools for different purposes. Improving yourself or learning a new language are among these goals. The studies show that when social media tools are used in education, they have a positive effect on the process (Ekoç, 2013; Gangwar, etc., 2013; Malerba, 2015; Tartari, 2015; Demirtaş, 2017; Derya, 2017; Elverici, 2017; Dursun, 2018). Therefore, the present research focused on the effect of using social media in teaching Turkish to foreigners on the writing skills of the learners and the views of the learners were taken. The research was designed as a case study. The data in the study were collected using a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher. 40 students were reached within the scope of the study. Based on the learner’s views, it was determined that social media facilitates learning, improves language skills, supports teaching, enriches vocabulary, enables rapid learning, makes learners transfer what is learned to daily life, increases communication channels, helps learners recognize cultural elements, offers the opportunity to learn by having fun, and increases socialization. In the last part of the study, according to the findings obtained, the impressions were made regarding the issues that should be considered while using social media in Turkish teaching processes.
