Karabeynikov and his friends whose aim was to erect a building near St. Catherine’s Church on Mount Sinai began their travel in 1582. They firstly arrived in İstanbul and met some co-religionist in here. After that, they continued their journey and passed Hios, Kos, Rodos, Cyprus. From here they went to a Syrian port. Thus, they arrived at the historical pilgrime road used by Christians. This road was reaching to Jerusalem from ancient Caseria, Iafa, Emmaus, Kiryat, Ye’arim line.
