Hz.
The Prophet Abraham is one of the ulu'l-azm prophets. He faced all kinds of trouble and difficulty in explaining the religion of God. He did not blindly surrendered to idolatry but has reached the truth by using his mind. He showed to people in his time and after him that the existence and unity of Allah can be easily understood by considering with a pure mind. Despite all the oppression and oppression of Nimrod, the political authority of his time, Abraham never compromised his sacred values. This led him to be thrown into the fire. The fire that the Prophet Abraham was thrown was understood by the commentators in different ways. Non-symbolic tafsīrs understood the fire in the verse as true fire, which gives heat and light. On the other hand, some commentators who made symbolic commentary interpreted the goal of the fire from the verse as firing the forces that are subject to self. Again, this was described as the anger of Nimrod and the fire of love. As a result, Allah saved the Prophet Abraham from this fire that was thrown and made him one of the closest. For this reason, he was henceforth referred to as the friend of God and set an example for generations after him.
