Mongols who re-shaped the XIII century world politics, carry out a policy which sees permisible everything according to their interests, under the leadership of Genghiz Khan while redrawing the map of the world. In accordance with their policies, they became skilled in time about the world religions while determining their relations with liege nations to these religions. They took advantage of Christian nations in the expeditions which they launched against the Islamic world. When Mongols established private Ilkhanid State by destroying the Abbasid Caliphate, their dialogues improved with Christian nations in this region, and they saw them immediate ally against the Islamic world. Surely, Armenians were the primary ally from this nations. In this article, we have tried to address the Armenians roles in Ilkhanid policy chronologically. We have studied the Mongol-Armenian rapprochement, the religious and political factors that cause it, their roles on relations with Catholic world, the support of Armenian elements against Muslim people and states who nonacceding Mongol domination and their influences on Ilkhanid religious politics.
