Abstract:

For the purpose of studying the research based on argumentation in mathematical education in the examples of Turkey, advanced scans have been carried out within the framework of reports in the National Thesis Center/TR Dizin and symposiums. The survey included 11 undergraduate theses, 12 articles and 7 statements between 2011 and 2019 in a total of 30 research analyses. The research was studied using the visual content analysis method. The year in which the research was carried out, the type of publication, the language of publication, the fields of learning, the model used in the study of arguments, the model-design of the research, the sample level-size and the kind of sample, the data collection tools, validity-reliability and data analysis methods were classified. The classification resulted in the fact that most of their research was in the translation language of Turkish, and the studies were done at the most license level. The research was usually conducted with a small number of participants. The selection of participants has mostly been established using sample methods for the purpose. When we study the research at the level of the fields of learning, it is determined that it was most studied in the field of geometry. In research, the quality and karma models were mostly preferred. As a tool for data collection, the most open-end questions, the activity-working sheet and data diversification have also been used. Nicel model has found that research has addressed success, anxiety and attitude variables. In the analysis of the data mostly used Toulmin's argument model, while different theoretical perspectives were also used. The results were given to teachers and researchers.
