Abstract:

Title: A review of the attitudes of parents with children between 0 and 12 years of age towards the reasonable use of drugs Summary:Objective: This study was conducted to identify the attitudes and factors affecting the reasonable use of drugs by parents who apply to the child clinic. Tools and Methods: The study is a cutting-edge study conducted on the parents of children’s patients who apply to the children’s clinics of a public hospital in Diyarbakır between 01.12.2018 and 01.05.2019. This study was conducted with the voluntary participation of 143 parents and the data was obtained by discussing the parents' socio-demographic information along with the form of information gathering that includes their drug use habits, behaviors and attitudes. Results and Results: The average age of the parents who participated in our study is = 30,97 ±6,63, and the average number of children 0-12 years old is = 2,00 ±1,26. In our study, the average scale of attitude towards the reasonable use of the drug by parents is 140.83±8.40. Again, in our study, parents received a score of 110.46±8.17 from the correct and conscious use subdimensional, 30.37±4.37 from the effective and safe use subdimensional. In our research, parents found low average of effective and secure use low-dimensional scores with a total and accurate and conscious use subdimensional score. This may be the reason why the educational levels of the parents who participated in our research are low. The low levels of effective and conscious use of drugs also affect the levels of attitude and behavior. It may be recommended that guidelines and consultancy programs be established in hospitals to enhance the behavior of reasonable drug use for proper, conscious, effective and safe use of drugs.
