In this study carried out in the historic hemisphere of Istanbul; first and foremost, there have been identified existing wooden plant taxons in different features such as parks, challenges, mosque gardens, palace gardens and botanical gardens. In a total of 7 sampling fields, research, photography, sampling and detection work were carried out on the site. The distribution and intensity of the detected wooden plants according to the families in which they are located and on the basis of gender-type were assessed by the SPSS analysis program. In addition, the intensity of use of each plant taxon in this area is determined according to the conditions of presence in the sample areas. To determine the compatibility of the existing plant taxons with the ecological structure of the place where the plant is located, a evaluation was made using the "plants' spread area formula" developed by Schroeder (1976) to determine the ecological structure of the place where the plant is located. According to the results obtained in the study; in the historic region of Istanbul the landscape arrangement areas are significant with a total of 189 wooden taxons in terms of plant species diversity, the use of exotic plants is quite intense in this region and some taxons are also not ecologically suitable for use in this region.
