Abstract:

The psychoanalytic approach in literature is based on examining the spiritual and mental worlds of the protagonist or protagonists in any literary work. In this context, Mustafa Kutlu, who is known as a Sufi writer, is the main subject of this study with his story titled "Sır". The method of psychoanalysis, known especially through Freud, is analyzed especially through the effects of the individual's daily life reflected in the subconscious. In this context, the factors consisting of the individual's dreams or the reactions of the body without realization is the concept of psychoanalysis. Kutlu's story, written from an Islamic perspective, presents the conflict between the subconscious and the unconscious. The article aims to show that a Sufi work can be analyzed not only from a religious point of view but also from the point of view of psychoanalysis in which conflicts of conscience and mind are also present. In this context, the article aims to reveal the conflict between the individual's beliefs, subconscious and unconscious through the method of psychoanalysis.
