Abstract:

This research was conducted with the aim of examining the concerns of swimming covid-19 by swimmers who participated in the swimming summer sports school opened by the Nizip Youth Services and Sports Provincial Directorate. The study’s sample group consisted of 148 participants in the summer swimming course, 76 of which were men and 224 women. As a data collection tool, 'Personal Information Form', Tekkurşun and ark. The "Covid-19 Catching Anxiety" scale developed by (2020) has been used. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25.0 program. In the analysis of data, the statistical method was used by the frequency analysis in determining the percentage distribution of personal information. T-test and Anova test were used for independent groups and the meaning level was taken as p<0.05 . In the findings obtained, the concern of the participants to catch covid-19 depending on the gender variable, the individual concern is a statistically significant difference in favor of women in the lower dimensions (p<0,05). No significant differentiation has been observed in terms of variables such as age, sports year and chronic diseases (p>0,05). As a result, it was found that athletes who participated in the Swimming Summer Course were more concerned about getting Covid-19 in women. On the other hand, athletes’ age, sports year and chronic condition have not been found to have a significant difference in concerns about getting Covid-19.
