Türk milletinin iyilikseverlik, yardımseverlik gibi temel özellikleri, başkalarına yardım etme anlayışının bir yansıması olarak geçmişten günümüze devam etmiştir. Bu sebeple Türkiye'de her zaman vakıflar, hayır kurumları, dernekler, kamu kurumları, şirketler ve şahıslar gibi önemli ve farklı aktörlerin yer aldığı hayırseverlik faaliyetleri olmuştur. Hayırseverler eğitim alanında sosyal sorumluluk bilincine sahip olarak okullar açmış ve öğrencilere burs vermiştir. Cumhuriyet ilan edildikten sonra ülkenin içinde bulunduğu ekonomik sıkıntıların olduğu durumda dahi eğitim alanında çalışmalar yapılmış, okulu olmayan köylere halk kendi arasında para toplayarak imece usulü okul yapmıştır. Bu sayede eğitimin toplumun her kademesine yayılması amaçlanmıştı. Bunun içinde devlet ve hayırsever insanlar ortak çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmaların en güzel örneklerinden birini Kayseri halkında görmekteyiz. Çocukların eğitimden uzak kalmamaları ve cumhuriyet rejimini benimseyen eğitimli genç nesillerin yetişmesi için Kayserili hayırseverler diğer illere örnek olacak şekilde eğitimin gelişmesini desteklemişlerdi.
The basic characteristics of the Turkish people, such as charity, charity, have continued from the past to the present as a reflection of the understanding of helping others. The charitatives opened schools with awareness of social responsibility in the field of education and granted scholarships to students. After the Republic was declared, even in the case of economic difficulties within the country, studies were done in the field of education, the people to the non-school villages made the school in the same way, collecting money among themselves. Because the aim of their children to be deprived of the Republic culture and the incrust was to spread education to all levels of society. We see one of the best examples of this work in the Kayseri people. In order to ensure that children are not away from education and that educated youth generations adopted the republican regime have grown up, the Kayserili charitatives have supported the development of education in such a way that it will be an example for other things.

Having the understanding of social responsibility, benefactors have opened schools and have given scholarships to students in the field of education. After the Republic was declared, studies were carried out in the field of education, even if there were economic difficulties in the country, and the people collected money through voluntary activities and built schools in the villages without school. In this way, education was aimed to spread to all levels of society. For this reason, the state and philanthropic people have worked together. We see one of the most beautiful examples of these activities in the people of Kayseri. Kayseri benefactors supported the development of education in a way that constituted an example to other provinces in order to ensure the children not to stay away from education and to raise educated young generations who were adopted the Republican regime.
