Amaç: Tanımlayıcı-kesitsel tipteki araştırma, Gaziantep ili 112 Acil Sağlık Hizmetleri’nde görev yapan acil sağlık çalışanlarının görevleri sırasında maruz kaldıkları şiddetin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmanın evrenini Gaziantep 112 Acil Sağlık Hizmetlerinde görev yapan bütün çalışanlar oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 271 kişi çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Araştırma verileri, sosyo-demografik ve şiddete maruz kalma ile ilgili soruları içeren veri formu kullanılarak yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 20.0 istatistik programında sayı ve yüzde dağılımları değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılanların %51,3’ü 18-27 yaş grubunda, %52,4’ü erkek, %37,6’sinin paramedik olduğu; %86,8’inin sözel şiddete maruz kaldığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan çalışanların %69,7’sinin meslek hayatları boyuncaaz bir kere herhangi bir şiddet türüne maruz kaldıkları vesık maruz kalınan şiddet türünün sözel şiddet olduğu, şiddeti uygulayan kişilerin ise çoğunlukla hasta yakını olduğu saptanmıştır. Şiddet sonrasında katılımcıların %16,9’unda yaralanma olduğu;; şiddetten sonra katılımcıların %27,0’ının mesleğe bakışının değiştiği; %44,4’ünün tükenmişlik hissettiği; %67,2’sinin öfke duyduğu; %55,0’ında stresin arttığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Şiddet sonrası acil sağlık çalışanlarında öfke, stres gibi sorunlara ek olarak, mesleğe olan bakış açılarında da değişiklikler olduğu görülmektedir.
Purpose: Identifying-specific type research was carried out with the aim of assessing the violence exposed to emergency health workers working in the 112 Emergency Health Services of Gaziantep during their duties. Tools and Methods: The universe of research has been formed by all employees who work in the emergency health services of Gaziantep 112. 271 people who agreed to participate in the study were included. The research data was collected using a face-to-face conversation method using a data form that contains questions about social-demographic and exposure to violence. The SPSS 20.0 statistical program assessed the number and percentage distribution. Results: 51.3 percent of the respondents were in the age group of 18-27 years, 52.4 percent were men, 37.6 percent were paramedic, and 86.8 percent were exposed to oral violence. The survey found that 69.7 percent of employees who participated in the study were exposed to any kind of violence at least once during their professional life, and that the kind of violence exposed to them was oral violence, and that the persons who practiced violence were mostly close to the patient. After the violence, 16.9% of participants were injured; after the violence, 27.0% of participants changed their view of the profession; 44.4% felt exhausted; 67.2% felt angry; 55.0% increased stress. The result: in post-violence emergency health workers, in addition to problems such as anger, stress, there are also changes in the perspective of the profession.
