Amaç: Araştırma, hastanelerde çalışan yönetici hemşirelerin liderlik yaklaşımlarını belirlemek ve hastanelere göre kar- şılaştırmasını yapmak için planlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul’daki bir üniversite, devlet ve özel hastanede çalışan toplam 614 hemşire, örneklemini ise 369 hemşire oluşturmaktadır. Veriler hemşirelerin demografi k özellikleri ve yöneticilerinden memnuniyeti ile ilgili 10 sorudan oluşan bilgi formu ve Çok Yönlü Liderlik Ölçeği (ÇLÖ) ile Haziran 2006-Mart 2007 tarihleri arasında toplanmış, yüzdelik, ortalama, korelasyon, Cronbach Alpha, t testi, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis testleri ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Hemşireler genel olarak yöneticilerinden (%68), onların tutum ve davranışlarından memnundur (%51), memnun olanların yöneticilerini daha fazla transformosyonel lider gördüğü saptanmıştır (p=0.000). Ölçeğe göre de hemşirelerin yöneticilerini transformosyonel lider (2.65) olarak kabul etmesi bu bulguyu desteklemektedir. Hastanelere göre ise özel hastanede çalışan hemşireler yöneticilerini daha transformosyonel (χ2K-W= 23.06; p= 0.000) lider olarak kabul etmekte, aynı zamanda transaksiyonel liderlik yaklaşımları sergilediğini de belirtmektedir. Sonuç: Liderlik davranışlarının hemşirelerin memnuniyeti üstünde olumlu etkisi olduğu, başta özel hastanedeki hemşireler olmak üzere tüm hemşirelerin yöneticilerini transformosyonel lider olarak algıladığı saptanmıştır.
Purpose: The research is planned to determine the leadership approaches of managing nurses working in hospitals and to make profits according to hospitals. Method: The universe of the study consists of a total of 614 nurses working at an university, public and private hospital in Istanbul, and the sampling of 369 nurses. The data was collected between June 2006 and March 2007 and the information form consisting of 10 questions about the demographic characteristics of nurses and their management satisfaction and the Multi-Lidering Scale (MOD), percentage, average, correlation, Cronbach Alpha, t test, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis test and verifying factor analysis. The findings: Nurses are generally satisfied with their managers (68%), their attitudes and behaviors (51%), and those who are satisfied have found that they see their managers more transformational leaders (p=0,000). According to the scale, the findings that nurses recognize their managers as transformational leaders (2.65) support this conclusion. According to the hospitals, nurses working in private hospitals consider their managers more transformational (χ2K-W=23.06; p=0,000) leadership, while also showing transactional leadership approaches. The result: Leadership behavior has a positive impact on nurses’ satisfaction, and it has been found that all nurses, including nurses in private hospitals, perceive the managers as transformational leaders.
