Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the levels of self-care strength of pregnant women, their health practices and the influential factors, to study the relationship between self-care and health practices. It is made in defining and cutting-edge quality. The sample of the study was made by 530 pregnancies who applied to 3 different family health centers located in a province center in eastern Turkey. The data was collected between 1 October 2017 and 30 May 2018. In the collection of data, the "Anchorage Form", "The Scale of Health Applications in Pregnancy" and "The Scale of Self-Care Power" were used. According to the age of pregnant women, their educational levels, their working conditions, their educational levels and their profession, their place of residence, their financial conditions, their family type, their number of pregnancies, their number of living children, their demand for pregnancy and their number of pre-born care, the difference between the total score average is significant (p<0.001). The total score average of the maintenance power measurement is 100,71±24,29 and the total score average of the Health Applications measurement is 114,43±17,90. The Care Power Scale and the Health Applications Scale have been found to have a statistically positive relationship between the total score average (r:0,766, p=0,000). It is found that pregnant women have self-care strength levels and their health practices are good at the middle level, and the self-care strength levels are increasing and their health practices are also increasing. 25-34 years of age, university graduates, working in an income-making job, wife university graduates and officials, living in the center of the province, having a good financial status, having a core-type family, primipar, seeking pregnancy, and more than 4 pregnancies receiving pre-born care have better levels of self-care strength and their health practices than other pregnancies.
