Abstract:

In this study, the paradigmatic transformation of the postgraduate theses written in the field of tourism in the scientific research methods from quantum methods to qualitative methods has been studied. Depending on the purpose of the study, the data base of the YÖK national thesis center was scaned using the keywords 'tours and business', 'gastronomy', 'recreation and management', 'tours and agent', 'tours and guidance' and 107 thesis achieved was subject to evaluation. Qualitative and quantitative research methods have been used together in the framework of the research, document examination in the framework of the qualitative and quantitative research has been used in the framework of multi-compatibility analysis. The research has concluded that the positivist paradigm is dominant in the postgraduate theses written in tourism. In addition, since 2010, the thesis has increased the quality methods, the thesis in the field of recreation management has mainly used the quality methods, the tourism management, travel management and tourism guidance and the gastronomy and cooking arts have found more quantitative and mixed methods being used.
