Abstract:

This study aims to evaluate the Values Education Research course according to the views of graduate students enrolled in the doctoral program of Curriculum and Instruction at a state university. Case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Five doctoral students who took the course voluntarily participated in the study. The sample was formed using criterion sampling based on purposeful sampling. In order to ensure data triangulation, data were obtained through interviews, observations and documents. The data were subjected to content analysis and research findings were obtained. As a result of the research, it was determined that students expected to gain more in-depth knowledge about the Values Education Research course and to use the gains in their professional life. It was also concluded that the content of the course coincided with student expectations and the course syllabus. In addition, it was stated that the methods and techniques used in the implementation process of the course were appropriate for the course taught at the graduate level and in the emergency distant instructional process. Finally, it can be said that both process and product evaluation were made in the measurement and evaluation dimension of the course and this was positively received by the participants.
