Abstract This article emerges from a theoretical study aimed to describe and analyze the construction process of a Physical Education (PE) planning together with early childhood education. The methodology used can be characterized as an essay, presenting a reflection based on readings and discussion on SC. Based on Sociology of Childhood (SC), we used the concepts of social actor, alterity, and children’s role; as well as authors that dialogue with PE. Thus, we deepen in the creation of a work project with eight plans of pedagogical mediations. We perceive that SC made possible a plan that aimed at the social and personal education of young children. We also observed that we should insert them in the planning, understanding children as active participants in the processes of teaching and caring. We conclude that a planning anchored on the wishes, the needs, the concrete life conditions, and social belongings of children evidences potentials to make them subjects of rights.
