ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÇEVRE SORUNLARINA İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİ

Sanayi devriminden en büyük zararı gören sistem doğadır. Kritik bir eşiğe yaklaştığımızın düşünüldüğü günümüzde; çevre sorunları küresel bir düzeyde ve giderek daha yüksek bir sesle tartışılmaktadır. Çevre sorunlarının ortadan kaldırılmasında, önemli rollerden biri de okul ve öğretmene düşmektedir. Öğretmen adaylarının çevre sorunlarına ilişkin görüşlerini betimleyen bu araştırma; nitel bir çalışmadır. Çalışmaya katılan tüm öğretmen adaylarının % 37'si çevre sorunlarını insan türü üzerinden değerlendirirken, % 33'ü bütün canlı türleri ile ilişkilendirmektedir. Öğretmen adaylarının % 22'sinin ise çevre sorunlarının bütün gezegene yayılacağı bilincine sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Öğretmen adaylarının % 33’ü çevre sorunlarını hava kirliği ve iklim değişiklikleri ile, % 25’i su kirliliği ile ilişkili değerlendirirken; adayların % 11’inin ise çevre sorunlarının birbirleriyle ilişkisini, toprak kirliliği temeline dayandırdığı görülmektedir. Öğretmen adaylarının % 77'sinin çevre sorunları açısından geleceğe karamsar baktığı; % 22'sinin umutlu olmak istediği görülmektedir. Öğretmen adaylarının en önemli buldukları çevre sorunları sırasıyla; su kirliliği (% 29), hava kirliliği (% 22), toprak kirliliği (% 14) ve atık sorunu (% 11) şeklinde ortaya çıkmıştır.

The system that was the greatest damaged by the industrial revolution is nature. Today, when we are considering that we are approaching a critical threshold, environmental issues are discussed at a global level and with increasingly high voice. In the elimination of environmental problems, one of the important roles lies to school and teacher. This study, which depicts the opinions of teachers candidates on environmental issues, is a qualitative study. 37% of all teaching candidates who participated in the study assessed environmental problems on the basis of human species, while 33% associated with all living species. 22% of teaching candidates are aware that environmental problems will spread throughout the planet. 33% of teaching candidates assess environmental problems with air pollution and climate change, 25% with water pollution, while 11% of candidates find the relationship of environmental problems with each other based on soil pollution. 77% of teaching candidates see the future in terms of environmental issues; 22% say they want to be hopeful. The most important environmental issues that the teaching candidates find are, respectively, water pollution (29%), air pollution (22%), soil pollution (14%) and waste problem (11%).

Nature is the system that faces with the most harm because of the revolution industry. When it is thought that we reach at a critical edge, environmental problems are discussed more and more loudly at a global level. Schools and teachers play one of the important roles to eliminate the environmental problems. This study is qualitative in which the opinions of the prospective teachers describe about environmental problems. 37% of the teachers participated in the study claim environmental problems on human beings whereas 33% on all living species. It is seen that 22% of prospective teachers have concious that the environmental problems can spread all over the world. 33% of the prospective teachers illustrate environmental problems with air pollution and changes in climate; 25% with water pollution. 11% of the teachers predicate that the environmental problems have relation with each other and this problems are based on soil pollution.77% of the prospective teachers are pessimistic about the future of environmental problems whereas 22% of them have hopeful desires. The most important environmental problems claimed by the prospective teachers are water pollution 29%, air pollution 22%, soil pollution 14% and the problems about waste materials 11%, respectively.
