Researchers in the field of Physical Education have been studying the quality of life by establishing a relationship between physical activity and healthy behavior. Sports, characterized as a specialized form of physical activity, may require extensive preparation in training also the competition is assumed as a great source of stress. The aim of this study was to analyze the quality of life perception of players of the youth football category of Blumenau Esporte Clube - SC, in environments of training and competition. It is an applied research, of quantitative descriptive intervention and cross-sectional study. The sample was composed of 17 athletes aged between 15 and 17 years old. The instrument used was the Questionnaire on Quality of Life for Athletes, validated. Among the answers, stand out as situations that influence the most the quality of food, relationship with the coach, technical staff and managers, relationship with colleagues, communication and understanding between members of the technical staff and the quality of sleep. Among the situations that exert less influence stand out mental tiredness/fatigue, physical tiredness/fatigue, injuries, excessive number of trips and excessive nervousness during competition. Therefore, some specific measures for each situation should be taken to minimize the potential damage to the quality of life of athletes in training and competition environment.
