Özet:

Abstract In this study, it is aimed to determine the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic process on the frequency of listening to music and the types of music that undergraduate students listen to. Relational Screening Method was used in the research. The universe of the research consists of all undergraduate students studying in education faculties in Turkey in the 2020-2021 academic year. The sample of the study consists of a total of 297 students studying at the Faculty of Education of Amasya University and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, selected by random means. The data of the research were collected online. First, the questions prepared by the researchers were processed into "Google Forms" and a survey link was created that could be shared with the students. This survey link, which was prepared later, was sent to the students via Whatsapp. As a result of the study, a total of 297 questionnaires were obtained, and these data were analyzed by percentage and graphic analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was an increase in the frequency of listening to music during the pandemic process. In addition, when we look at other findings, other important findings were that pop music was the most listened music genre before and during the pandemic, religious music and jazz music were the least listened music genres before and during the pandemic, and the frequency of listening to arabesque music increased during the pandemic process.
