Kuşkusuz spor, olağan gelişim gösteren bireylerin yanı sıra özel gereksinimi bulunan bireyler için de her anlamda gelişimi destekleyen bir unsur olmuştur. Buradan hareketle çalışmada, bedensel engele sahip olan sporcuların bakış açıları ile spor yapan özel gereksinimli bireylerin spor bağlamında incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel desende yapılan çalışma, yarı yapılandırılmış 4 sorunun katılımcılara yöneltilmesiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bedensel engele sahip spor tecrübesi olan 6 katılımcı çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Katılımcılar tamamen gönüllülük esasına uygun olarak çalışmaya katılım sağlamıştır. Görüşme aşamasına geçilmeden önce katılımcılara çalışma hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Görüşmelerin kayıt altına alınması için katılımcıların izni alınmış ve görüşmelere geçilmiştir. Veriler, içerik analizinin kullanılmasıyla analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın güvenirlik hesaplamasında ise güvenirlik katsayısı formülü kullanılmıştır. Buradan hareketle kodlayıcılar arası görüş birliği yöntemi kullanılmış ve güvenirliğin %87 olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda 3 ana tema oluşturulmuştur. Bunlar sporda özel gereksinimli bireyler, spor çerçevesinde yaşanılan zorluklar ve spor yapan özel gereksinimli bireylerdir. Ayrıca çalışma sonucunda toplam 6 alt tema ve 30 kod oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda özel gereksinimli bireylerin spor yapması, bedensel engelli sporcuların motive ve mutlu olmalarını, gurur duymalarını sağlamaktadır. Bu sayede özel gereksinimi bulunan bireylerin spor sayesinde bütün özel gereksinimli bireylere örnek olacağı ve hâlihazırda spor yapan özel gereksinimli bireylerin ise daha umutlu olarak sporda kendilerini gerçekleştirebilecekleri düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca özel gereksinimi bulunan bireylerin, spora katılım noktasında yaşadığı ulaşım, erişim ve olağan gelişim gösteren bireylerin bilinçsiz olmalarından kaynaklı zorlanmalara maruz kaldıkları ortaya koyulmuştur.
Undoubtedly, sport has been an element that supports development in every sense for individuals with special needs as well as individuals with normal development. From this point of view, it is aimed to examine the perspectives of athletes with physical disabilities and individuals with special needs who do sports in the context of sports. The study, which was carried out in a qualitative design, was carried out by asking 4 semi-structured questions to the participants. Six participants with physical disabilities and sports experience were included in the study. Participants participated in the study on a completely voluntary basis. Before proceeding to the interview stage, the participants were informed about the study. In order to record the interviews, the permission of the participants was obtained and the interviews were started. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The reliability coefficient formula was used in the calculation of the reliability of the study. From this point of view, the consensus method between encoders was used and the reliability was found to be 87%. As a result of the analysis, 3 main themes were created. These; individuals with special needs in sports, difficulties experienced within the framework of sports and individuals with special needs who do sports. In addition, a total of 6 sub-themes and 30 codes were created as a result of the study. As a result of the study, sports of individuals with special needs ensure that physically disabled athletes are motivated, happy and proud. In this way, it is thought that individuals with special needs will be an example to all individuals with special needs thanks to sports, and individuals with special needs who are already doing sports will be more hopeful and realize themselves in sports. In addition, it has been revealed that individuals with special needs are exposed to difficulties due to the transportation, access and unconsciousness of individuals with normal development at the point of participation in sports.
