Abstract:

In this study, 20 science fiction teachers candidates were viewed by three separate science fiction films, aimed at studying the effects of the films on scientific literature and the attitude towards science. The main issue of this study, which is one of the scientific literature and the other of the sub-problem that addresses the attitude towards science, is "Is science fiction films have an impact on the scientific literature and the attitude towards science of teachers candidates?" It is defined in form. The study applied to the quantum research method and used the "one-group pre-test-sontest semi-experimental pattern", which is one of the experimental patterns. Depending on this design, in the study, quantitative and qualitative data are collected together and the analyses are done separately. During the five-week data collection process, the data was collected with conceptual tests prepared by the researcher. The obtained quantitative data with the "t-test for related samples" and the quality data with the "content analysis" are converted into findings that can respond to sub-problems. The findings interpreted in the light of the studies in the field have come to the conclusion that science fiction films have a positive impact on the teaching candidates’ scientific literature and their attitudes towards science.
