Akıl ve Zekâ Oyunları Eğitiminin İlkokul Öğrencilerinin Akademik Başarı Düzeylerine Etkisinin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada akıl ve zekâ oyunları oynamanın ilkokul öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına olan etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Akıl ve zekâ oyunları son yıllarda özellikle Türkiye Akıl ve zekâ Oyunları Federasyonu’nun gerçekleştirdiği turnuvalarla oldukça popüler hale gelmiştir. Popülaritesinin öğrencilerin zihinsel becerilerini geliştirdiği varsayımına ve telefon, tablet, televizyon gibi ekran bağımlılığı oluşturabilecek araçlara yararlı bir alternatif olarak görülmesine borçlu olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu konuda yapılan akademik çalışmalar da mevcuttur. Zihinsel beceri gelişiminin anlamlı düzeyde artışı, akademik başarının da artış göstereceği fikrini beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu düşünceden yola çıkılarak kontrollü deneylerle  akıl ve zekâ oyunlarının akademik başarı düzeyine etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarının akıl ve zekâ oyunları ile ilgili gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalara temel oluşturacağı düşünülmektedir. İlkokul 2. sınıf öğrencilerinin takip edildiği bu deneyde, başarı düzeyi birbirine yakın 10 kişilik deney grubu ve 10 kişilik kontrol grubu seçilmiştir. 4 ay süren araştırma sürecinde akıl ve zekâ oyunları oynamanın akademik başarıyı anlamlı ölçüde arttırdığı görülmüştür.

Review of the Impact of Intellectual and Intellectual Games Education on Primary School Students' Academic Success Level

Abstract:

This study aims to study the impact of playing mind and intelligence games on primary school students’ academic achievements. Mind and intelligence games have become very popular in recent years, especially with the tournaments held by the Federation of Mind and Intelligence Games in Turkey. It is believed that popularity is due to the assumption that students develop their mental skills and to be seen as a useful alternative to tools that can create screen addiction such as phone, tablet, TV. Academic studies on this issue are also present. A significant increase in the development of mental skills brings the idea that academic success will also increase. The aim of this thought is to study the impact of mind and intelligence games on academic success levels through controlled experiments. It is believed that the results of this study will be the basis for the work to be done in the future on the game of mind and intelligence. In this experiment, the second-class students were followed, the success level was selected by a experiment group of 10 people and a control group of 10 people. During the four-month research process, it has been found that playing mind and intelligence games significantly increased academic success.

It is thought that it owes it to the fact that it is seen as a useful alternative to devices such as tablets and televisions that can cause screen addiction. There are also academic studies on this subject. Based on this idea, it was aimed to examine the effect of mind and intelligence games on the level of academic achievement with controlled experiments. It is thought that the results of this study will form the basis for future studies on mind and intelligence games. The experimental group and the control group of 10 people were selected. It was observed that playing mind and intelligence games significantly increased academic achievement during the 4-month research period.
