Abstract:

The 19th century, despite the great political and social breakthroughs, was a period in which many poets grew up and many works were painted. Tony's Ahmed Efendi is one of the few known characters that has performed in the mesnevi style in the framework of the recent divan poetry tradition. It is the only thing that has been revealed in the Qur’an. Since it was printed several times in Istanbul, unfortunately there is not enough information in the sources about the work that it seemed to be quite misleading during the time it was written. But it can be said that the work was written to pay attention to the misconduct that occurred in society in the past time, to give advice to society in moral and religious matters, and therefore it was written in a simple language. In this study, a counsel taken in the last period of the classical Turkish poetry in the form of mesnevi nazim, Risâle-i Ahvâl-i Âhir Zamân, translated into Latin letters, was studied in terms of the characteristics of muhteva, shape, harmony, language and uslup.
